- Why do we need to compute the n of dispersion (variance and standard deviation) even if we have computed the measure of central tendency (mean, median and mode) etc?
- What is the difference between Pie Chart and Bar Chart? Why do we use them?
Answer:
The scatterness of given values about their center is called
dispersion.
Measure of central tendency are used to estimate “normal”
values of a (Raise For Success) data set. Dispersion compute the spread of values about their
center. Central Tendency is very helpful to find the average value of a data
set.
Difference Between Pie Chart and Bar Chart:
Pie Chart shows how much each category represents as a
proportion of the whole, by using a circular format with different sized (Raise For Success) slices
for different percentages of the whole. Bar Graph use a series of rectangular
bars to show absolute values or proportions for each of the category. We use
pie chart to associate dissimilar values to a overall. We use bar chart to accomplish
a judgement (raiseforsuccess.blogspot.com) of metric values across dissimilar sub-groups of your data.
