Background of Organization:
KARANDAAZ PAKISTAN is a not-for-profit organization established under Section 42 in August 2014. Karandaaz is the formed as an implementation partner of the Enterprise and Asset Growth Programme (EAGR) and Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED) programme of UK’s Foreign, Common wealth & Development Office (FDCO). EAGR is a programmer which is a co-funded by FCDO and Bill & Melinda Gated Foundation on grant basis.
FCDO funded grant for SEED.  
Karandaaz is employing technology enabled solutions to provide access to finance for micro, small and medium-sized businesses. The company has four areas that are supporting SMEs and entrepreneurs: 
1. KARANDAAZ CAPITAL  
Supports access to finance for businesses through commercial investments that are further categorized into four buckets; direct investments, wholesale investments, strategic investments, and green investments. 
2. KARANDAAZ DIGITAL  
Realizing the potential of digital financial services by collaborating across the financial services ecosystem to maximize impact through improved access to digital finance for low income, rural, and otherwise excluded population segments, especially women 
3. KARANDAAZ RESEARCH  
Develops and Disseminates Evidence Based Insights and Solutions using blogs, publications and library  
4. KARANDAAZ INNOVATION  
Facilitating the Ecosystem towards Transformational Change using the Innovation Challenge Fund, and support women entrepreneurs by providing customized financial instruments.
Success Story: New Age Flour Mill
Peshawar based Rooida Amjad is a pioneer in her field. In 1998, a year after the death of her husband, she moved forward and took over his beloved flour and general mill in Peshawar. Her husband was very much interested to run his business successfully so after his death she followed his dream and took up all the challenges of running the business.
After successfully running the business for many years, she started exploring different opportunities and wants to expand her business in multitude of ways available. Expansion demands funds and having already dealt with banks, Rooida was not too keen on paying the high markups again.
Rooida came to know about Karandaaz, she contacted the Karandaaz team and applied to take part in the challenge. Her application was selected and she began to get the business development support services from Karandaaz. And then she was also selected for growth capital support to implement their shown below:

SOS Children Village is for providing children a proper enviornment like their home.
It is located in all cities in Pakistan & it provides different services in different areas.
Shaheena joined SOS at the age of 6 in the year 2001. She was brought to the SOS Village by the staff of the Services Hospital where she had been left abandoned for three months and was being treated for an injury. After matric she successfully completed her Architectural Drafting Diploma Course from Technical Training Institute for women and at the same time she privately appeared for Intermediate exams and passed with good grades. After that she did a short course in AUTO CAD from ACTMA. Then she started working as an HVAC Auto CAD operator in the mechanical engineering department of ACS Engineering Concern till 2017.
