HEC Scholarships for study program MS and PhD in World Top 100 QS Ranked Universities

HEC is the abbreviation of Higher Education Commission. HEC has announced scholarships for the students. This scholarship is in World Top 100 QS Ranked Universities (Fall 2021, Spring 2022 and Fall 2022). This scholarship is for MS and PhD level. Pakistani students are invited through online applications. Students can study in the following fields that are as follows:



  • Computer Science
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Software Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Data Science
Students must have cleared his Masters (16 years) education (BS in Computer Science. Software Engineering, Information Technology and BS/BE Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Avionics) for MS Scholarships and BS/MS/MPhil in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics or another relevant field for PhD scholarships. 



Eligibility Criteria:

  • Student must have 1st division in final examination or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0 or 75% marks in final degree for PhD Scholarships.
  • Students must have 60% marks or CGPA 2.50 out of 4.0 in final degree for MS Scholarships.
  • Maximum two second divisions and no 3rd division throughout academic career.
  • Maximum age on closing date for MS Scholarship: 35 years
  • Maximum age on closing date for PhD Scholarship: 40 years
  • Must have obtained requisite qualification on or before closing date of application.
  • Those who are availing any other scholarship are not eligible to apply or they need to reimburse the already availed scholarship for consideration.

Important Note:

  • Scholarships will be awarded on merit bases under Federal Government Quota.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be selected on HEC Amplitude Test.  Interview is also conducted.



  • Applications submitted online and in case of any wrong information your application will be rejected.
  • On completion of their MS or PhD Program students have to immediately return to Pakistan and serve for a minimum period of four to six years.
  • The candidates who, abscond during or after completion of their degrees, will be charged twice the expenses in the foreign currency incurred by scholarship programme on them.
